The Sanctuary loves and values children. That's why we developed the Sanctuary Super Church. Our ministry programs and events are designed to meet kids where they are with the love of Christ. While you attend our weekend service, The Sanctuary staff and volunteers help your kids experience God and His Word "kids-style" through creative, age-appropriate teaching, interactive music and worship, activity stations, games and time together in small groups. Each member of our children's and nursery worker teams is given extensive ministry training and must pass a thorough background check. The safety and security of your child is our highest priority.
FIREHOUSE YOUTH (6th grade - 12th grade)

Well look no further! Firehouse Youth Ministries is just what you’re looking for! Join students from across the Wilmington area for a diverse blend of activities and meaningful worship experiences. Firehouse Youth Ministries is driven by students and fueled by creativity and relevance. “We focus on different issues that speak to the life of our youth,” says Pastor Tim Cook.
Our primary focus is teaching our youth to fall in love with Jesus. With that focus in mind we do all types of activities geared toward that very target. We go on mission trips and also local outings. We play games, do skits, have praise and worship…you name it, and we do it! We meet every Wednesday night at 7pm. Come check us out…You will never be the same.
The Sanctuary Women's Ministry is active and involved in both the church and the community. There are regular gatherings that feature guest speakers, opportunities for women to build new friendships, as well receiving prayer and encouragement from one another. Special road trips and camps are being planned for the future.
The Bible says "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." One of the great and powerful gifts God gives men is the ability to connect together in life - empowering friendships and encouraging each other is spiritual growth. Along with nights out together at sporting events and other things guys enjoy, The Sanctuary is also hosting monthly Men's Fellowships on the 3rd Monday night of each month.
Our heart’s desire is to experience the manifest Presence of God. It is in His Presence we find joy and strength, healing and restoration, love and acceptance.
Our worship ministry can be described in 3 words, “All About Him”. In everything that we do, we do it because of the incredible relationship that comes with knowing Jesus Christ. We use music, which is a tremendous gift from God, to lift Him up, and inspire people to experience the dynamic Love of God in their lives. It is our belief that true worship is more than just a Sunday experience. It can happen everyday in everything we do. By allowing God’s presence to invade our lives, we can live a life-style of worship.

Fellowship, camaraderie and new friendships are some of the many wonderful by-products of serving our Lord Jesus Christ in a ministry that is reaching others. Whether you are interested in serving in our adult, youth or children’s ministries, you will find opportunities that fit every skill and personality, as well as faithful and able leaders committed to your personal ministry development and training.
The volunteer ministry at The Sanctuary is all about serving others, reaching people and growing in God by giving of ourselves.
